Love It Or Hate It: Beyonce

'There are a lot of cats that people say it's over for,' rapper tells Mixtape Daily.

Real Spit: Yung Joc knows what his doubters think of him, but on his latest mixtape, Ready to Fly, the Atlanta rapper aims to change the public perception that he has fallen off.
"I think this mixtape is definitely one of those ones that people should definitely check out, especially for the naysayers that's like, 'It's over for that guy.' That's cool too. There are a lot of cats that people say it's over for," Joc told Mixtape Daily before likening himself to another phoenix-from-the-ashes pop star. "I remember on my last mixtape, Grind Flu, I got a song with Chris Brown. I remember people were like, 'Why you got Chris on there? It's over for him.' Look at him now."
Joc, who rose to prominence after his Grammy-nominated debut single "It's Goin' Down," helped kick-start hip-hop's snap craze. The track even caught the attention of actor Tom Cruise, who famously did the song's accompanying motorcycle dance during a BET broadcast. Despite earning a gold plaque for his 2006 Yung Joc City album and multiplatinum credits for his single, Joc seemed to lose steam and hasn't released an album since his 2007 sophomore effort, Hustlenomics. Not that he's completely disappeared: Joc appeared on R&B singer Slim's 2008 single "So Fly" and alongside Diddy a year later on Day26's "Imma Put It on Her."
"It's just funny how people jump ship so fast. It don't take but a little buzz, a little heat up under that frying pan to heat things up, and people are right back on the bandwagon," Joc said. "Hopefully that's what this mixtape will do, because I'm gonna keep coming, dropping video after video."
For Ready to Fly's cover, Joc drew inspiration from the Notorious B.I.G.'s 1994 classic debut Ready to Die, swapping out the Biggie baby for a picture of himself. While Joc paid homage on the cover, Ready to Fly isn't all about B.I.G.; it's a nod to Joc's Southern roots and original Atlanta sound — which he never abandoned. DJ Sense and DJ Demp host the tape, while rappers like Tity Boi, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane and 8Ball make appearances.
Will it be Joc's big comeback? Only time will tell, but so far, things sounds pretty fly.
Joints to Check For
» "Ready to Fly" - "That's on some grown-man intellect and understanding. You can hear the pain in my voice on this record. Ain't nothing about it fake. You hear from the beginning of the record to the end of the record, it's just how I feel and things I've been going through."
» "Deuces" - "We just took the approach where everything we said, we did it in twos. We put a two in it some kinda way. Even if it was a name that started with 'two,' like Tupac, or O.G. Tookie. I said, 'Make a sucka drip, what up Tunechi.' Wayne, so you know we got the record 'Drip' the remix on there, featuring Yo Gotti, Wayne and myself."

iSites overhauled, now lets you publish cloud-based HTML5 iPhone apps in minutes
iSites -- a zero-code cloud-based 'app creator' -- can now generate HTML5 apps that work on iOS devices. With this new feature, dubbed 'InstantApp', you can now design a single app in your browser and publish it natively on Android and iOS, and as an HTML5 iPhone app.We haven't looked at iSites before, but it shot to fame last year when it launched with native iOS and Android support. Self-publishing Android apps wasn't a problem because Google does very little moderation of the Market, but iSites ran into trouble with its iOS apps. Thousands of people signed up for the service after it was featured on Mashable and TechCrunch, and you can imagine Apple's chagrin as thousands of cookie cutter apps flooded its approval queue.
Genwi, the developer behind iSites, realized something had to be done -- it had to circumvent the App Store approval process. Genwi, of course, turned to HTML5 Web apps -- which can be pinned to the iPhone home screen and which can be shoehorned into almost behaving like native apps.
Read on for our experiences with iSites' new InstantApp HTML5 iOS app creator.

Britney Spears Appears On Harper's Bazaar Cover
'I'm like everybody else,' singer says in the magazine.

She appeared pregnant and nude on the cover back in 2006, but now Britney Spears just looks happy and healthy in a low-cut white dress on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. In the latest issue of the magazine, now being previewed online, the singer opens up about her life.
"I'm pretty normal, you know? Like I said, the type of day I love is just like everybody else's. I'm like everybody else," she says in the issue. When asked about her music videos, she recalls fondness for a clip from 2001. " 'Overprotected.' I just think it says a lot. It was directed so well, it was really colorful and the dancing was amazing," she says of the splashy clip.
Spears seems content with the way fans have been reacting to her Femme Fatale album, which dropped in March. "I've worked so hard on this album, so it's really refreshing," she said. "I feel like I'm drinking a tall glass of homemade sweet tea on a really hot, beautiful day."
Spears also talked about getting in shape for her highly anticipated summer tour. "I love to dance, so it's very exciting," she said. "The tour rehearsals have been going really well. I think it will be my best show yet."
In addition to the cover shot, another image from the magazine has hit the Web. It features Spears smiling in front of a wall painted with graffiti wearing a flowing, black star-print dress.
Not only has Spears been readying her summer tour, she has also been preparing to shoot her next music video, for the song "I Wanna Go." Spears will be working with Chris Marrs Piliero (Ke$ha, the Black Eyed Peas) on the clip, which is filming later this month in Los Angeles. The track is the third single off her album, following "Hold It Against Me" and "Till the World Ends."
While she's always moving forward to the next project, Spears did take the time to reflect on one very important onstage kiss with Madonna at the VMAs nearly eight years ago. "I actually saw her a couple of weeks ago at a party," Britney recalled. "I guess she's really taught me to stay true to myself. That seems like a simple thing to say, but she taught me through action, not just by saying it. There are so many people around you that have opinions, but you just have to listen to your instincts."

Android Quick App: xkcd Viewer
If you're ever had the pleasure of reading xkcd, you know it's utterly hilarious. I read it, most of my friends read it, so it lends itself to coming up in conversation time to time. It's nerd comedic gold, and let's be honest here: you're on an Android website, so it's right up your alley. To ensure you're never without your appropriate dose of vitamin xkcd, I recommend xkcd Viewer.
xkcd Viewer is a free, ad-free app that lets you read any of the comics listed on the main website. There's no delay between new comics going live on the website and them being accessible on your phone's app, so if you're ever out and about and want to pepper your experiences with some funny, xkcd Viewer will do the job.
The app is fairly simple: it defaults to the latest comic. Tapping on the comic gives you whatever the mouseover text is on the website. You can favorite the comic, move sequentially forward or backward, or tap the dice button to jump to a random comic. You can also bring up the menu by tapping your menu button on your phone. Doing so opens up more options like seeing the entire xkcd master list, if you're inclined to scroll up and down it.
That's pretty much all there is to it, but if you hadn't started downloading by the end of the first paragraph, get to it. If you don't, expect a visit from the black hat man.
Download links and more pictures are after the break.
