Lady Gaga Gets Birthday Wishes From Friends, Fans
'You are all the present I need in the world,' she tweets to fans upon turning 25.

On Monday (March 28), Lady Gaga reached another milestone in her life, turning 25. And it seems that all her pals didn't forget their Queen Bee on her big day. In fact, the singer even got some birthday love from ... herself.
"Drawing on table at restaurant. If I had to give it all back, but got to keep my fans, that'd be ok," she wrote on Twitter. She included a photo of a drawing she made that reads "Happy Birthday Me" with hearts all around it.
As a birthday treat, her fans trended the hash tag "#bornthisday" in honor of their Mother Monster. In another tweet, she thanked her fans for making her a trending topic on Twitter in honor of her big day. "Thank you for trending #BornThisDay monsters! The sweetest tweet! You are all the present I need in the world. I'll be 25 in about 4 hrs!"
Her "Born This Way" producer, Fernando Garibay, also tweeted some love for Gaga. "Happy Birthday @ladygaga; cause you were Born This Day!!!!" Nicola Formichetti, Gaga's loyal stylist and Thierry Mugler creative director, teased the kind of fun the group was having in honor of Gaga. "So much fun!!!" he wrote. "What a party!! happy birth day my love, gaga!!! #mother monster."
Fellow Gaga collaborator DJ White Shadow, who worked on the track "Government Hooker," shared a similar sentiment, adding, "Fun birthday party tonight."
Gaga pal Perez Hilton, who celebrated his birthday just days ago, sent some love to the pop star on his Twitter. "Hey @ladygaga! Happy birthday, bitch!!!!" he wrote. "BornThisDay LOVE YOU!!!! xoxo"
When MTV News caught up with Hilton at his birthday bash, he had this wish for his birthday: tons more success for Gaga. "My birthday wish for this year is for Lady Gaga's new album, Born This Way, to sell over 1.2 million copies the first week," he said. "That would beat Taylor Swift's 1.1-something!"
In addition to all the birthday love from her inner circle, it was announced on Monday that Lady Gaga would be receiving the "Always Next, Forever Now" Award at Logo's NewNowNext Awards, which air on the network on April 11. She receives the prize three years after she performed for the first time on television during the 2008 show.

Usher 'Got A Good Laugh' From Fan Kicking Him In The Face
'It looked worse than it actually was,' the 'OMG' singer laughs about accidental blow during concert serenade.

Usher's club-rattling jam "OMG" may "kill it every night" according to tourmate Miguel, but when the Atlanta crooner hit Madison Square Garden earlier this week, he was almost taken out by a clumsy fan.
When the singer touched down in New York on Monday, he indulged a super amped fan's fantasy by pulling her onstage for an intimate flirty serenade of "Trading Places." As Usher and the concertgoer got cozy on a recliner, she swiveled around to face the crooner — knocking him squarely in his mug with her foot. She began apologizing profusely as Usher briefly paused to collect himself. But the superstar took the strike in stride, quipping, "We play rough in the bed. We kick each other in the face and all type of good stuff."
Although Usher brushed off the blow, the moment did make an impression on him.
"In all my years, this is one of the most interesting experiences. I got a kick out of it!" he told Us Weekly. The singer assured fans that the knock wasn't that bad. "It looked worse than it actually was. My audience and I got a good laugh."
As for the fan, the "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" star maintained everything is all good on that front too. "Wherever you are baby, don't feel bad," Usher said. "No hard feelings."
As Miguel has noted, Usher isn't one dwell on drama, whether it's cranking out another hit album or weathering an unexpected hit from a fan.
"He's such a tremendous example of perseverance and determination," Miguel recently told MTV News. "I was there throughout this album, so I've seen the adversity that he's had to overcome perception-wise."
What do you think of Usher's response to getting knocked in the head by a fan? Tell us in the comments!

Adobe patches latest Flash and Reader vulnerabilities
Just recently, new critical vulnerabilities were reported in Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader. While Google and Adobe managed to deliver an update to secure Chrome users, it took a few more days to put together the necessary bits for the general Flash and Reader using public.Fortunately, the work is now complete, and Adobe has posted updated downloads for both products. You should be notified via the Adobe Updater that a new version is available, but you can always download manually as well. We'd recommend doing so immediately rather than waiting on a notification.
You can find the updated Flash Player and Reader downloads on Adobe's site, and Windows versions are available on Filehippo (Reader and Flash) as well.

Britney Spears Wanted To 'Experiment' On Femme Fatale
'I really wanted to play with my voice and change up my sound,' she tells Rolling Stone.
By Jocelyn Vena

When Britney Spears started planning Femme Fatale, there was no doubt in her mind that she wanted to take her time and make something incredibly different from anything she's previously released.
In a chat with Rolling Stone, the singer said she thinks she accomplished what she set out to do: "make a fresh-sounding album for the clubs or something that you play in your car when you're going out at night that gets you excited."
"I wanted it to sound different from everything else out right now," she told the mag. "I also wanted to experiment with all the different types of music I love, which is why you hear a mixture of pop, hip-hop and dance throughout the album. I also really wanted to play with my voice and change up my sound here and there, which was really fun."
Her first two singles certainly fit that bill. "Hold It Against Me" and "Till the World Ends" are sexy dance jams that are just a taste of what the album is about. "I really didn't want to record anything on this album that could be mistaken for anyone else out there. I think my first two singles, 'Hold It Against Me' and 'Till the World Ends,' sound completely different from anything else," she said. "And I think when my fans hear the rest of Femme Fatale, they'll see how fresh every song is."
On the album, Spears worked with longtime collaborators Dr. Luke and Max Martin, but she also hooked up with will.i.am on the song "Big Fat Bass." "The Peas make incredibly catchy, fun pop/dance records and I love will.i.am's style," she raved. "I have always wanted to do a song with him and would love to work with him more in the future. He is so interesting."
Like Spears, Luke wanted to push the boundaries for this album, and Spears described her "picky" attitude toward choosing songs, knowing that she wanted it to be "unique" from the other tracks on the radio.
"I only wanted songs that I immediately connected to. I also wanted to make sure that this album was completely different from Circus or anything else I had ever recorded," she said. "I love Circus, but I wanted something darker and edgier. I also wanted to make an album and didn't want to just record a bunch of songs and put them together. I think Femme Fatale is really connected from start to finish."

George Lopez Compares Kirstie Alley to a Pig

George Lopez may not be doing high kicks on Dancing With the Stars -- but he's proved that he can stoop to new lows. On Wednesday's episode of his TBS show Lopez Tonight, the comedian launched into a tasteless commentary on the season 12 premiere of Dancing With the Stars. He was harsh on all of the celebrity dancers, but Kirstie Alley got the worst of it. Watch the clip, below.
While footage of the show rolled behind him, Lopez, 49, mocked episode winner Ralph Macchio's hair loss, called Wendy Williams a man, and made a tasteless joke about Kendra Wilkinson and Hugh Hefner. Then he showed a clip of Alley, 60, calling her his "favorite female dancer" -- and comparing her, at length, to a pig.
"She did a nice job, her little hooves tapping away," said Lopez. "Before the show, she went to the market, and then she had roast beef and this is her going all the way home."
He then played a clip of a pig squealing in a Geico commercial. Classy.
Lopez's cracks about Alley are offensive in so many ways. For one, Lopez himself has a history of weight fluctuation -- talk about the pot calling the kettle chubby! Second, Alley has made no secret of the fact that she has a weight problem. Part of her motivation for going on DWTS in the first place is to lose some weight through exercise. Not to mention that she already lost 60 pounds before going on the show. And honestly, she looks pretty darn good -- not movie-star skinny, but svelte and curvy enough to rock that sequined dress. Plus, regardless of her weight, she was one of the best dancers out there. To focus on her health struggles when she's making a triumphant comeback? Not cool at all. And all this from a guy who starred in an America Ferrera movie called Real Women Have Curves!
Yet Alley, who is the first to joke about her own weight, doesn't seem to be too bothered by the comments. On Thursday, she struck back on Twitter, saying that Lopez was nothing but a mean drunk.
Don't worry about George's comments," the actress tweeted. "Just remember what happens to the big bad, drunk woolf...falls in a boiling pot of vodka. Piggy laughs."
Lopez has admitted to problems with alcohol in his past, so Kirstie's comment is a low blow -- but no lower than making fun of a woman's appearance to get a cheap laugh.
Lopez subsequently apologized to Alley, tweeting: "I misjudged the joke. No malice was intended and I apologize to Kirstie."
Alley is having none of it, however. She took to Twitter this morning with a response that referenced the kidney that Lopez's ex-wife Ann donated to him in 2005. "@georgelopez I don't need or want ur apology," she wrote. "I want your kidney dude..on behalf of ur X and all the women uv insulted...give it back." Ouch.

Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Slash Light Up Super Bowl XLV Halftime Show
Foursome is joined by special guests and tons of lights for smash-hit medley.

Black Eyed Peas perform during the Super Bowl XLV halftime show

The Black Eyed Peas promised a party at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday (February 6), and the pop supernovas definitely delivered, with a performance teeming with lights, dancers and surprise appearances from celebrity pals.
Following a Chatter.com commercial that showed animated versions of the Peas showing off their social-media skills, the group kicked things off with their 2009 smash "I Gotta Feeling," descending from the ceiling on illuminated platforms onto a stage surrounded by a cluster of dancers clad in white bodysuits. The foursome led the team of fist-pumping troops in "Tron"-like getups, with Taboo sporting an outfit covered in flashing lights, will.i.am rocking a shiny hairpiece, Apl.de.ap wearing huge bright studs and Fergie vamping it up in bling-laden shoulder pads.
When the speaker-busting bass of "Boom Boom Pow" dropped, the dancers dispersed across the field to create arrow-shaped formations as the glow-in-the-dark lights on their suits illuminated the stadium. Then rumored surprise guest Slash of Guns N' Roses rose from below the stage for a "Sweet Child O' Mine" duet with Fergie. The GNR great rocked a finger-searing solo in a studded version of his signature black top hat as more angular platforms and dancers moved across the gridiron. The platforms were bearing scores of marching-band musicians who blasted their horns and pounded away on their drums as the Peas went into "Pump It" and blue lights splashed across the production.
Quick streams of fog heralded the arrival of the Peas' second surprise guest, Usher, who swooped in on a long chain to bust out his will.i.am-assisted joint "OMG." Rocking a sparkly collar on an otherwise all-white ensemble, the R&B hitmaker cranked out several counts of energetic choreography, enlivening moves from his "OMG" video and at one point jumping over Will and landing in a split.
A spray of pyro ushered in the collective's breakout 2003 hit "Where Is the Love?" as the oddly shaped platforms spelled out the word "Love" in bright-red letters. The team of dancers, which appeared to have multiplied to over 100, formed hearts across the field as will updated the lyrics of the smash with lines like, "Obama, let's get these educated."
Then the group jumped ahead to their most recent single, 2010's "The Time (Dirty Bit)," as several back up hoofers rocking cubed helmets joined the Peas onstage and dancers lined up along the gridiron to simultaneously bust out the Running Man, a move which drew cheers from the crowd.
The platinum-selling Peas wrapped up the performance with a reprise of "I Gotta Feeling," as the quartet triumphantly signed off amid of blitz of fog, firepower and flashing lights.
Ripping the halftime show was clearly a touching moment for will, who tweeted beforehand, "Me and apl started the peas when we were 16 yesterday we were dreamin now were livin it. Wow. I'm not crying out of sadness or nervousness its joy and pride and memories and the journey."
And once the crew left the stage, the frontman was not only proud, but pumped. "That was so freakin sick," he wrote. "Wow...!!!"
What did you think of the Black Eyed Peas' Super Bowl performance? Let us know in the comments!

Robert Pattinson Dishes On Awkward Love Scenes
'Reese [Witherspoon] had this wig on, and literally, I was wiping my nose on her wig,' RPattz says of scene in 'Water for Elephants.'
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz
Robert Pattinson
Photo: MTV News
We've heard Robert Pattinson talk about his love scenes before. "Lot of my crack in it!" he once laughed to us about what we can expect in the upcoming drama "Bel Ami." And we've even seen photographic evidence of his honeymoon boom-boom with Kristen Stewart in November's first installment of "Breaking Dawn."
But when it comes to Pattinson's amorous encounters onscreen, his fans can never get enough. It's no surprise then that one Twitter user submitted a question during "MTV First: Robert Pattinson" asking if the actor felt awkward doing love scenes with "Water for Elephants" co-star Reese Witherspoon.
Awkward, no. Sick? Well, yes.
"The love scene in this, I was doing it when I had a really bad cold," Pattinson explained. "I'm not generally that awkward doing stuff apart from when I've got my belly coming out. But my nose is running all over the place and it was in one of the additional photography scenes, and Reese had this wig on, and literally, I was wiping my nose on her wig."
"We were doing this really passionate love scene," he added with a giggle. "It was really stupid. I guess I'm not that awkward anymore."
The key with any love scene, Pattinson went on to make clear, is that it has to make sense within the context of the story. You can't just get freaky in front of the camera because someone thinks it'll boost ticket sales.
"It always depends. You've got to really know what you're doing. If it's just a sort of arbitrary love scene, it'd be quite difficult," he said.
And what of his scene with Stewart in "Breaking Dawn," the one we got an early, feather-filled glimpse of in January? Rob hesitated before saying simply, "The one on 'Breaking Dawn' is pretty funny."
Check out everything we've got on "Water for Elephants."

Justin Bieber Passes Michael Jackson's Box-Office Record
'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' has outgrossed MJ's 'This Is It' in U.S.
By Gil Kaufman

Michael Jackson may have dubbed himself the King of Pop, but the late icon didn't hold the box-office crown for long. Less than a year after the posthumous MJ documentary "This Is It" became the most successful concert-themed film in U.S. history, Justin Bieber is poised to snatch the mantle.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" has earned $72.2 million in domestic box office so far, passing Jackson's $72.1 million haul. And while Bieber has racked up those impressive numbers in just six weeks, he's got a long way to go before he laps the global receipts for the MJ doc.
"This Is It" has grossed $189.1 million overseas for a global total of $261.2 million. Music films don't typically play well overseas, and THR noted that "Never Say Never" has grossed a more modest $10.8 million overseas so far, with Paramount executives predicting that it could top out around $20 million internationally.
The impressive U.S. numbers were likely goosed by the re-release of the film recently with 40 additional minutes of bonus footage from director Jon M. Chu. Bieber still has a little way to go to climb the list of the top-grossing documentaries of all time. "Never Say Never" is currently stalled out at the #3 position, around $5 million behind "March of the Penguins," according to Box Office Mojo, and well short of the all-time record held by Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11," which has taken in $119.1 million to date.
Bieber set off a classic MJ-style fan frenzy a few weeks ago when he visited Liverpool, England, for his world tour. And just a week later, he posed with his new wax figure at London's Madame Tussauds, checking off another item on the list of milestones to an MJ-like career.

Busy mom Padma Lakshmi was happy to take time out to play host at this weekend's Endometriosis Foundation of America?s Blossom Ball in New York City. After her own struggle with the disease, the Top Chef host says, "I?m so thankful that I have my daughter."
Padma gave a glimpse into the happy home life she shares with her 1-year-old daughter Krishna, telling OK!, ?We eat with our hands, we sleep together [laughs], we get up in the morning and we shower together. We have a bath together. My daughter eats lentils and rice and cumin and vegetables. She doesn?t eat meat, but she has a primarily Indian diet at home. She eats all kind of things, but at home she eats pretty much the same food that I eat, it?s just not spicy.?

Robert Pattinson's MTV Live Chat: Everything He Said About 'Twilight'
From 'Breaking Dawn' to leading lady Kristen Stewart, RPattz was an open book.

Robert Pattinson likes his leading ladies "hot," thinks his "Breaking Dawn" love scene with Kristen Stewart is "funny" and looks back at his first "Twilight" red carpet and thinks, "I looked like an old alcoholic."
Yes, we ranged far and wide across the "Twilight" universe on Friday night during "MTV First: Robert Pattinson," a 30-minute live chat with the 24-year-old star. In fact, we hit so many topics of interest to fans of the vampire franchise that we've gathered them all on one page. Consider this a Twi-cheat sheet of everything Pattinson had to say about the series:
On Kristen Stewart
While Rob drew a line of comparison between his "Twilight" co-star and other leading ladies with whom he's shared the screen — "I like being in movies with lots of hot girls," he laughed — he also pointed out how different he is from Stewart.
"I like the kind of cerebral aspect of things, and she has kind of an immediate emotional response to stuff every single time," he said about making various acting choices. "She's like, 'Why can't you understand? It's obvious. You don't know. You shouldn't be an actor!' "
Unsurprisingly, the duo's upcoming "Breaking Dawn" love scene — which we got a peek at in a photo earlier this year — also cropped up during the conversation. "You've got to really know what you're doing. If it's just a sort of arbitrary love scene, it'd be quite difficult," he explained. "The one on 'Breaking Dawn' is pretty funny."
On "Breaking Dawn"
Of all the new talent joining the franchise, 10-year-old Mackenzie Foy, who plays Edward and Bella's daughter, is the one everyone has an eye on. "She's a great actress. She's really sweet," Pattinson told us. "She has to do a hard part as well, because she's doing — I don't want to get into special-effects stuff — but she's playing a baby in some scenes. Oh, man, some of the stuff is so strange. I mean, we've done very strange things on the 'Breaking Dawn' shoot."
Rob also dished a bit about the musical aspects of the upcoming films, shooting down a rumor that he'll sing a lullaby but revealing he will show off some of his musical abilities. "I did play some piano. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be secret," he said. "I was very impressed. I hadn't played piano in years, and I learned it in about 10 seconds."
On Revisiting the Past
While we had Rob live and in studio, we couldn't help but flash back to our first-ever "Twilight" interview back in the spring of 2008. Though much time has passed, Pattinson said that now, much like then, he still can't quite grasp the full breadth of Twi-mania. What has changed, he added, is how he acts during interviews.
"I never got that I was supposed to be talking about 'Twilight.' I thought I had to be funny all the time and that's it," he said.
But he doesn't regret trying to be the always-on funnyman. Looking back on the last few years, Pattinson told us he really has just one regret. "I wouldn't have worn the suit I wore for the first 'Twilight' premiere. It was too small," he said. "I was also a little bit nervous, so I had a couple of drinks beforehand. I look like an old alcoholic."
